Four Oaks – Dubuque was recently awarded a $5,500 grant from the Dubuque Racing Association to equip the site with a mobile multimedia system that assists in facilitating foster care training and family team meetings.
Four Oaks provides weekly trainings for foster parents in the Family Connections program as well as family team meetings for those receiving services through Supervised Community Treatment. This new multimedia system will allow families to access additional training resources and research-based curricula, including PowerPoint presentations, videos and web-based resources. With this technology, we are able to increase both the educational opportunities and chances at success for our families.
“We are grateful to the Dubuque Racing Association for their support of this project,” said Amy Kallaher, Regional Director for Four Oaks – Dubuque. “Having this system available for our families will ensure they are exposed the most up-to-date training and educational programs that are currently available.”
Thank you to the Dubuque Racing Association for providing Four Oaks’ Dubuque families with greater learning opportunities!
